For 8 consecutive issues, I created fun graphic design for Whizz Pop Bang magazine. As a fun science magazine for kids aged 6-11 years, it was bright and colourful. During this work, I designed News, Interview, Quiz, How Stuff Works. Added to this I created a centre Pull-out with double-sided working with the illustrators’ work. This was a great challenge to work in a practical sense. The reason is it was usually part or all meant for cutting out by the readers.
Importantly every page wanted to be fresh and varied in each issue. During work, multiple team members annotated amends which I kept track of on their system. Clarity for How Stuff Works was key, often I arranged detail and the order to help with absorbing the content. Importantly, I
What’s more I revamped the Letters feature design. I came up with the idea of the style of robot Y’s inner mechanics. Similarly I made sure it was easy and efficient to work with. Further, I brought fresh thinking, design evolution and attention to detail to all stages. Further, I finalised files to press and juggled three issues simultaneously. I really relished graphic design for Whizz Pop Bang magazine.
